One Response to Surveillance, Humanitarian Interventionism, and Media Disinformation in American Politics – from Global Research

  1. Headline: “Pentagon Prepares Another War in Libya

By Bill Van Auken, January 29 2016

“A little less than five years after launching a war against Libya on the “humanitarian” pretext of preventing a supposedly imminent massacre, the United States and its European allies are preparing a new military assault against the oil-rich North African country under the bloodstained banner of the “war on terrorism”.”

Critique: WHEN oh WHEN, Dear Heaven, shall otherwise-credible and well-credentialed alternative journalists’ references to said interminable War Enterprise STOP with all the nicey-neutral pablum and START referring DIRECTLY to the PLAYERS?

Saying instead, for example, “…the United States and its European allies are preparing a new military assault… under the bloodstained banner of THEIR war on terrorism” is MUCH more direct and cause-rooted. MUCH more likely to produce an entirely desirable “Oh holy shiii…” realization response in the Gentle New Clue-gathering Reader.

Just pointing out… Words. when well-chosen and -deployed, tend to more reliably succeed where the Provo-style use of ordnance merely plays into enemy hands. Just one example of many that one could cite every day! And that is all. 0{:-\o[
